Travelling in Switzerland
Switzerland is a European country with a very mountainous terrain. Because of this terrain the climate can vary considerably depending on the location. Generally it is quite mild and it’s a great place to camp, with well organised and well provisioned sites easily available.
The terrain provides spectacular views and the driving is great, but beware some of the villages have VERY narrow streets. On one occasion I found myself having to reverse backwards up a very steep incline when I got wedged between 2 buildings, my poor Mini was really not happy about that!!
I travelled through Switzerland on my way back from Italy in 2024. My adventures are chronicled in a series of blog posts called ‘The Italian Job‘. The posts below relate to the Swiss element and one of the highlights of my trip unexpectedly happened in Switzerland!
